SCIENCE DEPARTMENT
Science is an integral part of the school curriculum at Rex Christus College. All JSS 1 – JSS 3 students of the school have lessons in Basic Science, as a core subject. The three core science subjects of Chemistry, Physics and Biology are integrated into Basic Science and taught as a single subject at the lower level.

The core science subjects are taught separately in the college, from SS1. Biology as a subject is headed by Mrs. Michael Kelechi, a genetics specialist. Physics is headed by Miss Agubata Doris, a Physicist while Chemistry is headed by Mr. Nwaiwu Dennis, a Pure and Applied Chemist and a specialist in Industrial Production.

The science laboratories are well equipped and fully functional, with teachers and students carrying out practical activities regularly, to aid the understanding of the students.

The Science Department of the College apart, from balanced teaching, prepare students for science competitions, organize science exhibitions and in conjunction with the Computer and Mathematics Department, supervises and train students who are members of the Junior Engineers, Technicians and Scientists (JETS) club.
