REX CHRISTUS GETS NEW ADMINISTRATOR
Following the appointment of Rev. Fr. Sylvanus Ameh (Fada Ameh) as Director of Radio Maria, Abuja, and his subsequent transfer, Rex Christus College now has a new Administrator in the person of Rev. Fr. LazarusMary Ishaku.
Fr. Lazarus is a priest of the Catholic Archdiocese of Abuja, and until his appointment, he was the Chaplain of Regina Pacis College, Garki, Abuja.
As we welcome Fr. Lazarus to our noble and dear College, we thank Fr. Ameh most immensely for the many developments he brought to the College during his 5-year tenure as College Administrator. The College wishes him well in his new assignment.

REX CHRISTUS COLLEGE WINS MAIDEN ABUJA ARCHDIOCESAN CATHOLIC SECONDARY SCHOOLS QUIZ

Rex Christus College, Kubwa, has emerged as the winner of the maiden edition of the Abuja Archdiocesan Catholic Secondary Schools Quiz Competition.

The competition, which featured Catholic Secondary Schools from across the Archdiocese of Abuja saw Rex Christus emerging as the best school at the zonal level.

In the finals, which were held on Saturday, 8th July, and which featured the best schools from the different zones, Rex Christus College again proved her mettle, beating Regina Pacis College, Garki and Spiritan International Girls Secondary School, Sabon Lugbe to 2nd and 3rd positions respectively.

Indeed, Rex Christus College is a school to reckon with, as we are focused on the holistic development of the child, raising a generation of champions who will make a global impact.

REX CHRISTUS COLLEGE RECEIVES QUALITY ASSURANCE INSPECTORS OF THE CATHOLIC ARCHDIOCESE OF ABUJA

On the 21st of June 2023, from the beginning of working hours up till past 5 pm, we had a team of Quality Assurance inspectors of the Education Commission of the Catholic Archdiocese of Abuja on whole school inspection at our school, Rex Christus College, Kubwa, Abuja. This exercise is mainly aimed at appraising the school’s activities, touching every aspect of the school’s life, to ensure it operates within acceptable standards.

As would be expected of any organ of the Catholic Church, there are no compromises with matters like this. Thus, the exercise was thorough, exhaustive and enlightening. Strengths and weaknesses were pointed out and the feedbacks were duly noted.

Overall, the rating of our College stood at an A (we hope to hit A+ by the next visit). Though this is quite an impressive scorecard, we know that there is room for improvement and we shall continue to work harder to do better and be better, so help us God.

Management is grateful to all the staff of the College who work hard to ensure that the school operates above average standards. This won’t be possible without you all. May God bless you all.

2022 STAFF PICNIC

Working without rest/relaxation leads to a build-up of stress and fatigue. A worker who is stressed and fatigued is counterproductive and may even be a disaster in the workplace. In an environment such as a school where young, malleable minds are being formed, it would be disastrous to have tired, stressed-out the staff working with and around children.

It is in the light of this understanding that the Management of our noble College has made it a part of the College life to have a day of rest, play and relaxation for all staff in a picnic. This year’s picnic was held on 13th June at the National Park and Zoo, Asokoro, Abuja. Indeed, it was a time to have fun, relax and bond with all staff (academic and non-academic).
