THE MUSIC DEPARTMENT
The Music Department of Rex Christus College is highly practical-oriented with practice sessions extending into the weekends. The school makes provision for extra weekend classes as our students are required to put in more time in their practice classes.

This department is segmented into four (4) branches.

Wood Wind Classes: Tutored manuscripts that are easy to understand are made available to students who have interest in learning how to play the saxophone and recorder.

Percussion Class: In this class, students are mainly taught how to play the drum set and piano. Easy modules have been developed into stages for better understanding.

String Class: In this class, students are taught how to play the violin and guitar with proficient bowing, strumming and plucking skills.

Voice Coaching Class: All Music students attend this class. The department identifies the voice part (soprano, alto, tenor or bass) of each student, give them voice training tutorials to improve their output and quality of delivery in the voice part they can sing conveniently on.

The Music students of Rex Christus College are trained by experienced resource persons and are exposed to various platforms where they have performed at Christmas Carols both within and outside the school. This has greatly improved their confidence and motivated them to work harder, with commendations steadily flowing from our admirers in all walks of life.
